What firms does Briefed cover?
Eighteen firms right now, from the Magic Circle through to the US firms with a serious City presence, like Kirkland, Latham and Skadden. You can see the full list on the firms page, and more get added as coverage grows.
How much time do I actually need to put in?
Most people spend fifteen to twenty minutes a day. One story, one answer, one round of feedback is normally enough to keep the habit going, some days you'll want longer.
Can I target specific firms?
Onboarding works out which firms genuinely fit you, and from there the stories you see, the prompts you're asked, and the explainers flagged as must-know all get weighted toward those firms and your practice areas.
Does Briefed replace reading the news?
No, and it's not trying to. You still need some grounding in what's happening. What Briefed replaces is the part that never actually worked, sitting through a course library and hoping it clicks. It's the practice layer: read a real story, answer a real question, get told exactly where the answer broke down.
How credible is the AI marking, really?
Every question has a model answer framework written by hand, and grading runs against a fixed rubric, not a model's gut read of your answer. It's explicitly instructed to credit a differently reasoned but still valid argument rather than mark you down for not matching the wording, and every response is checked before it reaches you. How is my data and CV handled?
Your CV is optional. If you upload one, it's read once to help calibrate your profile and the file itself is discarded straight after, it's never stored and never added to the database. Only the structured result is kept, and only for the length of onboarding. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
When should I start?
Whenever you're serious about applications, first year, second year, or two weeks before an assessment centre. Earlier gives you more reps, but Briefed is built to get you interview-sharp quickly if you're starting late.
What happens after application season?
Applications aren't really one season. Assessment centres and vacation scheme interviews run for months after deadlines close, and staying commercially sharp still matters once you're a trainee. Briefed doesn't switch off after you submit an application.
